Nonsuch Mansion : The fair

On Sunday I exhibited at the Nonsuch Mansion Wedding Fair – Nonsuch Mansion holds a very special place in my heart as it is where I myself got married a few years ago following the fantastic renovation.  It is such a gorgeous venue – the rooms are so light and airy and the decor gives the house a feel that is somewhere in between a Classic Country House and an edgy London venue.

It was great to meet lots of lovely couples all of whom are getting married soon or just planning their weddings. Being such a beautiful day, there was such a buzz of excitement that felt catching!

It was a fantastic opportunity to meet lots of Wedding Suppliers all in one go and I enjoyed making some new friends.

Newborn shoot

I love newborns and was so pleased to photograph beautiful Xander yesterday, who was the perfect model.

Such a laid back little soul.

Babies really don’t stay small long enough! Those first few weeks pass by in a blink-and-you-ll miss it whirl.

I recommend scheduling photographs within the first 2 weeks from baby’s arrival. This way we capture them

at their tiniest whilst they are blissfully unaware in the land of nod.  I go at baby’s speed: If they decide they

want a feed, a nappy change or just to test their newly discovered lungs  - thats cool. We wait until they are

ready and there is no hurry.

The Heirloom Box

Binding says the story is over and yet your story is still being written’.

Your wedding is just the start of a whole lifetime of adventure together.

If you are looking for a more tactile, creative and hands-on way of storing your memories of your wedding day, The Heirloom box is the ultimate object to preserve your life story.

A beautifully handcrafted Amish-made box, to fill with your collection of prints, nestled in beautiful fabric and protected by a leather satchel.

Made by hand using traditional methods, the Heirloom box is not only a way of storing your photos – it is a gift that will last a lifetime and be shared on through future generations. I love the thought that years from now, your great-grand children will be pouring over the contents of the box, discovering real treasure – their family history, tracing your names etched onto the lid with wonder – feeling the same magic I feel when looking over my grandmother’s photographs from the 50s.

The box contains a fabric wrap and leather pouch for protecting your prints, 5 miniature glass vials where you could preserve the scent you wore on your wedding day, or a petal from your bouquet or even the soil from where you stood to be married. Also included is beautiful loktah handmade stationary to write each other an important wedding-morning love note capturing how excited you were the day you married.

Because your prints are unbound, you can place a favourite in a frame on the wall, or pass them around lovingly with the whole family.  Most importantly, the box is large enough to continue to add objects and photographs to it for a lifetime together.

I am so in love with my newest product: The Heirloom Memory box which embodies everything that is important in life in so many ways – bespoke, handmade to last generations and designed to bring loved ones together in an act of sharing past memories. Just perfect.
